Portable Laundry Trailer $100,700
When disaster strikes, many residents lose their appliances. Forged by Fire Services, a disaster response
organization of the LCMS is deployed to the Gulf Coast Region and beyond. They provide human care to the victims, volunteers, and first responders affected by natural and man-made disasters. After a disaster, one of the needs of the people and volunteers are clean clothes, but there may be no facility for laundry service available.
The laundry trailer will be set up in the parking lot of an LCMS church. When offering the service, the LERT trained volunteers who will operate the trailer will have an opportunity to share the love of Christ Jesus with those recovering from the loss of their homes and property.
